Sotheby’s New York is holding an online auction from September 7-13 featuring 50 examples of sculpture from across the world’s continents selected from the longstanding collection of Martin and Faith-Dorian Wright.
The selected pieces span works at all price points from the Northwest Coast of North America; sub-Saharan Africa, the Pacific Islands and Australia.
They were acquired by the Wrights in the 1960s-70s from specialist ethnographic art dealers as well as at auctions at Sotheby Parke-Bernet.
