A group of around 100 works have been attributed to this Flemish artist who was active in Antwerp c.1530-60.
The 21½ x 16in (54 x 40.5 cm) oil on panel painting at Christie’s was last under the hammer in 1972 at an auction held by Mes Audap, Godeau, Solanet, where it was acquired by the family of the vendor. The estimate is €80,000-120,000.
The Old Master paintings and sculpture auction is followed on the same day by a sale devoted to works by women artists in a range of different mediums.
