Mid-20th century mirror by French designer and metalworker Gilbert Poillerat – estimate $30,000-50,000 at Bonhams LA on March 25.
The 5ft 3in (1.61m) high parcel-gilt wrought iron framed mirror, which dates from c.1948, formerly belonged to the French designer Karl Lagerfeld.
Following its time in Lagerfeld’s Paris studio, it was acquired by the Pruskin Gallery and subsequently entered a private collection in California.
Estimate in the sale of modern design and art is $30,000-50,000.
