Beach scene by Dorothea Sharp (1874-1955), priced at £18,500 at Thompson’s Aldeburgh.
The show, which runs until June 6 at the gallery’s Suffolk space, features works by John Bellany, Fred Cumming, Mary Fedden, Terry Frost, Henry Moore, John Piper and Mary Potter.
The gallery says the show is a celebration of the “width and breadth of works painted in Britain during the 20th and 21st century”.
