Including a wide range of 16th to 20th century classics from across the two genres, it is led by a number of seminal English first editions including an 1818 triple-decker of Frankenstein by Mary Shelley and copies of John William Polidori’s The Vampyre published in 1819.
This first-edition, first-impression copy of JRR Tolkien’s The Hobbit, or There and Back Again retains its unclipped dust jacket with the misspelling ‘Dodgeson’ to the rear flap corrected in black ink. The estimate is $10,000-15,000.
