The Arabic manuscript is in black ink, the text in cursive calligraphy preceded by the imperial number (tughra) of Mehmed II and a bismallah; the document partially reinforced with a red textile on which is indicated waqf of the late Zaganos Pasha 1/16, followed by the signatures of six witnesses, two inscriptions in the margin, dated in the last line.
The 3ft 9in (1.14m) x 8in (20.5 cm) wide document comes from a private collection and is estimated at £80,000-100,000.
