With a provenance to the KA Johnson-Hill collection, Hong Kong, it has an estimate of £1200-1800 at Matthew Barton’s European and Asian Works of Art sale at Olympia Auctions in west London on November 24.

Shown above is a highly decorated Qing dynasty bow case and quiver (dasuwan and jebele) dated to the 18th or 19th century and possibly made for a member of the imperial guard.

It carries an ‘estimate on request’ as part of the second part of the Edward McEwen collection being sold by Thomas Del Mar of Olympia Auctions on December 8.
