Potter said: “The perennial favourites such as tinplate toys, diecast toys, teddy bears and Hornby trains are well represented at Sandown but the ongoing strong demand for Star Wars, Lego and TV-related toys continues to see a whole swathe of new collectors attending all our fairs.
“Nostalgia for childhood toys is very strong as people in their 30s and 40s seek these out to collect and this can become a real passion.”
