It came with a big difference to many uniform lots: it was made for a child.

The particularly ornate ensemble sold for £2300 on March 19.

Little can be found about the tailor. However, a post-1902 privy counsellor’s levee dress uniform – full size on that occasion – offered at Bonhams Oxford in November 2009 included a tailor’s lable described as G Succaram Tookaram & Sons, Main Street, Poona. It sold for a premium-inclusive £120.
