Big and busy
Alex Robins of Antique Fairs Cornwall holds her big, busy antique, salvage and decorative fair at the Wadebridge Showground over Easter Friday and Saturday, April 15-16. Hundreds of stalls, both indoor and out, food stalls and a vintage car rally all feature.
In Scotland, Joanne and Alistair Coates have taken over the two antiques and collectors’ fairs run for many years by the now retired Rob Torrens in Glasgow and Ayr.
The Coates’ next outing is in Glasgow at the Bellahouston Leisure Centre on Sunday, April 17. Joanne said: “We’ve still got the traditional antiques that people look for but we’re seeking a younger demographic.”

Gnome sweet gnome
Lamport Hall, near Northampton, was the former home of Sir Charles Isham who brought back from Germany 21 terracotta garden gnomes to decorate his rockery – thus introducing them to the country in the 19th century, a collecting passion from which many have not recovered. Easter is one of organiser Antiques2Go’s busiest bank holiday fairs at the hall which runs on Sunday and Monday, April 17-18.
