A Nagaland pipe from north-east India, offered by Handbury Tribal Art at the Tribal Art Fair online, priced at €750.
Handbury is among 25 dealerships participating in the fair, which runs from April 21-25. Though the autumn edition of the fair runs in Amsterdam, the additional spring event launched during lockdown proved so popular that it has been added as a regular fixture.
Businesses from the UK, US and Europe each show up to 50 objects encompassing works from Africa, Oceania, Asia and the Americas.
A programme of related lectures can be accessed free of charge on Zoom and include a talk by Wolfgang Grulke on his recent book Adornment by Nature: Adornment, exchange & myth in the South Seas.
