Still-life by Louyse Moillon, a 17th century Parisian artist who specialised in this particular genre – estimate €150,000-200,000 at Aguttes.
Her 14 x 19½in (36 x 50cm) oil on panel depicting a dish of strawberries, a basket of cherries and a branch of gooseberries is signed and dated Louyse Moillon 1631 lower right.
In terms of provenance, this work has a label to the reverse of the frame which is probably for the JA Ponsin collection rue Fortuny, Paris, and a private French collection.
Estimate €150,000-200,000.
