Titled Fragile Splendour: Prestige, Power and Politics from the Medicis to the Present Day, it focuses on dynastic families.

Ceramics specialists Brian and Anna Haughton are hosts of the annual seminar and for the first time since the start of the pandemic it returns as an in-person event.

It runs from June 29-30 at The British Academy, Carlton House Terrace in St James’s.

Speakers include Amin Jaffer of the Al Thani Collection, Leslie Greene Bowman of the Thomas Jefferson Foundation and Mathieu Deldicque of the Musée Condé Chateau de Chantilly.
