Cruttenden says: “Numbers are picking up, so we’ve increased the footprint of our inside trading areas to include more indoor furniture pitch options while still having our full complement of outdoor traders. So, in total around the 250-mark.”

He adds: “We’re on track to achieve what we set out to do when we focused on the Sunday format for Sandown.

"The demographic of the surrounding towns are a great catchment area and what our traders bring to Sandown is proving very popular judging by the numbers we are getting through the doors.”

A 40-minute whizz down the M25 from Sandown Park takes you to Lingfield Park Racecourse and Love Fairs’ well-visited monthly busy antiques and vintage fair.

The next edition promises to be even busier, says organiser Donny Mann, as it’s the last of his fairs this year.

“All pitches are inside in the winter months, so we have 100-plus indoor dealers on November 20 – fully sold out and with a waiting list.”
