A past chairman and later president of Christie’s South Kensington, Anthony was also a leading furniture historian, publishing many articles on English 18th century cabinet-makers for Apollo, Connoisseur and Burlington magazines.
The collection includes a group of about 45 lots of First Period Worcester black and white printed wares after engravings by Robert Hancock.
