Titled De Watteau à Vuillard, une Collection Parisienne, the 137-lot auction features Old Master drawings, paintings, furniture and works of art from the 16th to early 20th centuries that were assembled in the first half of the 20th century and has remained since in the same family.
Among the pieces of classic antique French furniture is a Louis XVI demi-lune shaped commode stamped by the master ébéniste Charles Topino. The rosewood and marquetry commode measures 2ft 9in (85cm) high and 3ft 2in (98cm) wide, has a marble top and gilt bronze mounts (with some restorations and losses to the marquetry) and is fitted with three drawers and two side doors.
The estimate is €8000-12,000.

The 10½in x 6¼in (27 x 16cm) work, which bears traces of a signature or inscription lower right, has a provenance back to Léon Michel-Lévy, sold from the auction of his collection in Paris in June 1925. The guide is €20,000-30,000.
