The fair, from March 11-19, was back to its traditional dates, length and size after a few turbulent years. Exhibitors from across the fair announced major sales in Old Masters, antiques, works on paper and more.

A high point at this edition was the strong showing of museums, particularly US institutions, some of which had not visited since 2019. More than 250 were recorded as attending.

Times are tough and organisers admitted that new “budgetary priorities” were set for this year. Neverthless, the world’s premier art fair was, in the words of one dealer, “92% back to what it was before”.
