He worked at Dreweatt Neate and Cubitt & West before setting up his own independent firm in 1990.
It has become a real family firm, with Chris’ son Andrew and daughter Louise now involved.
His industry roles included two stints as chairman of the Society of Fine Art Auctioneers and Valuers for years.
