This book was part of The Dickens Exhibition in 1903, loaned by Shiers, and is offered with the original receipt for display signed by H Snowden Ward.

It was last sold via auction at the Corn Exchange in Sudbury, 1955, in a deceased house contents sale from the estate of Ms EDE Wellstead (sale catalogue present).

With some condition issues, the work is estimated at £1000-1500 in the Dawsons auction in Maidenhead on July 26.
