A rare 1906 stereoscopic viewer produced by the De Dion Bouton Factory as a sales promotion, £350 at Tennants.
The promotional ‘book’ was produced by the De Dion Bouton Factory and a paper roll of 10 images shows its workers and the cars produced.
Offered at North Yorkshire saleroom Tennants (24% buyer’s premium) with an estimate of £200-300 on July 15, it came with key-shaped ‘winders’ to the base, and the inside back cover opens to reveal a De Dion Bouton sales booklet (lacking pages).

This intriguing item measuring 4½ x 8 x 1½in (12 x 20 x 3.5cm) was consigned from a private north of England source and sold online to a private buyer from the same region for £350 in the Leyburn auction.
The French company operated from 1883-1953 in the Parisian suburb of Puteaux.
