The Australian auction house sold the collection of Bruce and Judith Terry from their Brighton, Melbourne, home on April 30.
Both were examples of pie crust top occasional tables on carved tripod bases, the type of piece that was much sought and commanded high prices in the latter years of the 20th century. The Terrys were regular visitors to England where they purchased antique furniture from leading dealers in the 1970s-80s.
The pie crust wine table pictured top, with a top measuring 2ft 6in (76cm) in diameter and dated to c.1765, was acquired in 1997 from the Partridge dealership and sold at this auction for Aus$28,000 (£14,735).
