Ayesha Godfrey’s monthly fairs are held at the Pannier Market in South Molton on the edge of the Exmoor National Park in north Devon.

Known as the South Molton Salvage Fair, these are now so busy that she is spreading the love and launching a second.

Godfrey said: “This is our sixth year at South Molton and we have 70 traders here but we’ve run out of space for the many exhibitors wanting to stand here. So we’re launching a second fair this month to run four times a year in Tiverton’s Pannier Market. Here we have space for 120 traders.”

Salvage makes up about a third of the fair’s offerings which also includes signage, antiques and vintage pieces.

For the past seven years Godfrey has also run the Crediton Antiques Centre in the small mid-Devon town near Exeter. This 60-cabinet centre is very busy, she says, and has a good crossover effect at spreading the word on footfall for the fair.

The next South Molton Salvage Fair runs on Sunday, March 19, with the first Tiverton Salvage Fair taking place on Sunday, March 26.
