This 11th century Indian sandstone sculpture of Shiva as Nataraja from Rajasthan, 3ft 2in (97cm) high, is priced at $80,000 from the show Divine Gestures: Channels of Enlightenment at Kapoor Galleries.
The show at East 67th street from March 16-24 will bring together sculpture from India, Nepal, Tibet and ancient Gandhara and examine their religious iconography and craftsmanship.
A stand-out item is the imposing 11th century sandstone sculpture of Shiva as Nataraja, shown performing the Tandava: the cosmic dance which both creates and destroys the universe.
