Wou’s years of collecting fortuitously coincided with an abundant availability of exceptional Chinese art on the London market. From the mid-1950s to the late 60s, he formed a collection of well over 1000 works in multiple categories of Chinese art from Neolithic utilitarian vessels to late Qing porcelain.

The May sale will be the first of three online dispersals of the collection, following on from three live auctions last year.
