1 How did you get your start?
Living off Portobello Road in the early 1980s selling general antiques. I was inspired by my mother’s stories of my grandfather, who was a furniture restorer. We are now based in Sussex and specialise in 19th century sculpture.
2 What projects have you been working on recently?
Looking at different ways to sell other than traditional antiques fairs. We are looking for things that will give us other outlets since online trading for sculpture is not particularly appropriate.
3 What is one great discovery you have made?
A numbered sculpture by French artist Antoine Louis Barye (1795-1875), who was known for his work as an animalier. Nineteenth century sculpture is not usually numbered, but Barye did so for very short time. I would love to discover a piece by Camille Claudel one day.
4 Do you have a collection at home?
Yes – displayed on plinths, walls, and furniture.

5 Real ale or espresso martini?
Espresso martini. Failing that, a very good red Bordeaux.
