Portraitist Isaac Benigson will have a stand at the Kensington Vintage Fair where he will be selling antiques and vintage fashion.
The inaugural event takes place on Saturday, November 4, at the Grade I1-Listed St Cuthbert’s Church in Earl’s Court.
Titled the Kensington Vintage Fair, it is organised by Alexander Silver Darter and Chris Beldain who will be hosting 30 decorative and interiors dealers including Adam Bentley and William Woldscot and artists Isaac Benigson and Nicolette Meeres.
Darter owns a recycling company in London and Beldain is a professional art and fashion photographer. Both are full of enthusiasm for their venture which has been promoted extensively across social media.
“We thought the fair would be a great way for friends - and Instagrammers - to have an-person marketplace to meet one another and sell directly to their followers,” says Darter.
Hill, who as well as his Roadshow presence is an author and lecturer, says: “I’m having a one-off clear-out of my private collection at the inaugural Kensington Vintage Fair. I bought them because I love them but some must find new homes.”
His stand will include Fat Lava lamps and Italian ceramics, costume jewellery, glass, prints and pictures and is bound to be a draw.
A bit of fun
Beldain says: “We all spend too much time on our screens, in the trade more than ever, so we hope it will be a profitable day for stallholders and a chance for buyers to pick something fun.
“We’re already planning the next fair which we hope to run perhaps every season.”
