“I sign up to do things like this every few years to prove to myself that I’m not dead yet but ironically this abseil nearly killed me. Terrifying!” a relieved Beadman told ATG.
Exeter Cathedral has raised £57,000 to date to fund the project, which will connect the cathedral with its 13th century chapter house and Pearson buildings.
