Martyn Gregory, Grosvenor Gallery and Charles Frodsham have all already left the building at the corner of Bury Street and Ryder Street.
Fairley’s temporary premises will be just around the corner at 32 St James’s Street. He will return to the Bury Street space in September following the completion of works.
For Martyn Gregory the move was shorter still (in December they temporarily moved next door from 34 to 35 Bury Street).
However, Grosvenor Gallery, who moved to a new St James’s gallery in November, will not return to Bury Street. Although they plan to move again in November they say that returning to their previous location “was not an option”. Their new gallery will also be in St James’s.
Works on the Bury Street building will include general renovation and also address a damp problem.
