The one-day event takes place at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London, and including presentations, talks and Q&A sessions about antique walking canes and related subjects. Organisers describe it as “informal and relaxed” and an opportunity to share “cane-collecting passions”.
It is a non-commercial, collector-led event and is geared towards growing that community.
Though it is free to attend, it is an invite-only event falling on September 11.
The Antique Cane Society is chaired by Anthony Moss and Dominic Strickland of Michael German Antique Canes and Weapons. The two founded the society along with Shaun Winfield of Winfield Antique Canes.
