This famous image for Fry’s Five Boys solid milk chocolate bar, shown above, first appeared in 1902.

It features a boy in a sailor suit with five different expressions representing his anticipation and experience of eating the chocolate bar from Desperation to Realization It’s Fry’s.

The 22 x 2ft 6in (56 x 76cm) enamel sign is estimated at £300-500 in a Specialist Collectors’ sale at Cuttlestones in Wolverhampton on June 22.

Although much of what survives may suggest otherwise, all Greek sculptural production was originally polychrome.

This 2¾in (7cm) high Greek terracotta figurine of a seated young man, above, still retains traces of its original pigmentation with bright pink, red, yellow and white still found on the figure’s body and face.

Dating to 4th-3rd century BC, it is priced at £450 from CJ Martin (Coins) & Ancient Art in St James’s, London.

A UK advance promotional poster for Alfred Hitchcock’s 1963 classic, The Birds, will feature in Antikbar’s summer sale of original vintage posters on June 23 in Chelsea, London.

Estimated at £240-480, the 22 x 19in (56 x 48cm) poster is offered in good condition with some fold marks and tears to the margin.

During her career, English artist Mabel Royds (1874-1941) produced 61 colour woodblocks, many inspired from her experiences in India and Tibet.

On June 21, Guernsey saleroom Martel Maides will offer this 6 x 4in (15 x 12cm) colour woodcut titled The Goatherd. Signed in red pen, it comes in a modern black and gilt frame and is estimated at £300-400.
