This bronze head of a stag by British sculptor Geoffrey Dashwood (b.1947) is guided at £3000-4000 in George Kidner’s sale of clocks, ceramics, furniture and other items on September 6 in Lymington, Hampshire.

The signed 43cm (17in) high piece, on a square marble base, was made in a limited edition of nine.

Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood’s antiquarian book auction on September 12 features this 1928 copy of AA Milne’s The House at Pooh Corner, illustrated by Ernest H Shepard.

It is guided at £2500-3500 and comes from a limited edition of 350 signed by both the author and illustrator.

This late 19th century Swiss musical box is coming up for auction in Staffordshire.

Made by Mojon Manger & Co in a rosewood and ebonised case, the c.1860 box is guided at £2000-3000 in a September 19 sale at Richard Winterton in Lichfield.

The piece is stamped with the serial number 818 and MMC and has the original card tune sheet to the inside of the lid. This lists three of the four cylinders’ six airs and includes popular tunes of the day by Gilbert and Sullivan, Gioachino Rossini and Johann Strauss II.

A pull-out drawer to the base is fitted with three additional interchangeable cylinders.

This 3ft 11in (1.19m) high George II Irish mahogany leather wing armchair is one of nearly 500 lots of furniture and works of art going under the hammer at Lyon & Turnbull in Edinburgh on September 5.

In button-upholstered tan leather and raised on cabriole legs and carved at the knees with lion masks, the mid-18th century chair is estimated at £2500-3500.
