A demi-parure of mid-18th century Swedish gold jewellery offered by Brightwells on July 25 was accompanied by a painted portrait miniature of the original owner wearing the set. The lot sold for £1050.

Although not so easily recognised as Scandinavian Modernist, Swedish jewellery of this period is quite distinctive: this fancy link necklace with central pierced and engraved plaque, brooch and ear pendants being quite typical examples.

Doubling the mid estimate, it sold in the room for £1050 at the sale on July 25.
