In recent sweltering summer days the seaside is a good place to be. Here are two seaside vintage fairs, one in North Yorkshire, the other in East Sussex.

Great Seaside Vintage Fair

Now in its ninth year, Rose and Brown Vintage’sGreat Seaside Vintage Fair is held biannually in the coastal town of Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast, with the summer version running on Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21.

Organiser Caroline Brown said: “We will have 56 stallholders selling across the vintage spectrum. Plenty of vintage fashion but also vintage homewares, small furniture, toys, jewellery, records, record players and even antique collectables.”

She added: “We average about 2000 visitors over the weekend at this fair.”
