The Rare & Fine Whisky Auction at McTear’s in Glasgow on November 8 includes this bottle of Glenlivet 1940 Gordon & MacPhail 70 years old.
Distilled on February 3, 1940, matured in cask no 339 and then bottled on September 7, 2010, this was the first release of the Gordon & MacPhail ‘Generations collection’ and at the time was the oldest single malt whisky ever bottled.
Bottle number 19 of 100 comes with its original packaging.
