Wooden statuette from the Senufo peoples of south-east Mali, west Africa – estimate €20,000-30,000 on May 26 at Ader.
The powerfully carved 2ft (62cm) high, brown patinated female figure, which is dated to the second half of the 19th century, has a provenance to the collection of Maurice Garin, acquired between 1950-55.
