As extensively covered in ATG, many organisers have been running virtual events while lockdown has curtailed the physical versions.

These have been a surprise bonus to many and even as fairs reopen much of the online activity will carry on alongside.

Clerkenwell fashionistas

While awaiting news of when she could restart her well-supported Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair, organiser Savitri Coleman has been running monthly virtual events, with the next on Sunday, March 21.

These will continue when the fairs go live (they now will reopen on July 10-11 at the Freemason’s Hall in Great Queen Street, WC2).

Coleman said: “Our virtual fairs have given traders the opportunity to sell through us that otherwise they wouldn’t have been able to, due to their location, and have exponentially expanded our reach to customers.

“I never thought I would have gone down this path but circumstances have taken our fair in a new direction and are keeping our traders in business.”
