Lady Anne Gordon’s works are surfacing on the secondary market with increasing frequency. Stair Galleries, (28% buyer’s premium) in New York managed to turn up a selection of 19 of her ceramics for ‘The English Interior’ sale held on March 9.
All of them sold including the two items pictured here, a Chelsea style melon complete with its black painted AG monogram to base and a pair of flower encrusted aubergines.
Guided £800-1200 and at $1000-1500 respectively, these lots sold for $3750 (£3030) each.
