No-one listening to the experts in marine ivory, like a few years back with elephant ivory. Blanket ban on virtually all marine tusks etc, end of story.
Yet again, beautiful objects carved hundreds of years ago deprived from the public in fairs etc, the animals long passed.
The government today listens to no-one of importance on certain subjects, just the do-gooders win out.
Pour your resources into modern-day policing of endangered species – don’t hold from lovers of ancient artefacts the chance to see and observe these objects just because you think the change in law will solve the problem. It won’t.
