A regular at these events is arms and armour specialist Dominic Vincent.
He said: “This is a great fair with a great atmosphere and loads of people through the gates. Very popular, one of the best.”
Among the stock he is taking to the fair is a highly decorative 19th century version of a 16th century-style sword of justice or executioner’s sword.
Priced at £1850, it was “made to furnish the homes of the newly wealthy as they copied the style of old money and filled their homes with well-made copies of armour, swords etc,” said Vincent.
