Maxine Stonehill’s Pop Up Vintage Fairs at the Alexandra Palace antiques and collectors’ fair, which returns under new ownership on July 2.
“Many of the regular stallholders have booked and we have a lot of new ones joining us as well as approaching 1000 pre-booked entry tickets”, enthuses Paul Kelly of Alexandra Palace Antiques & Collectors’ Fair.
He is now organiser of the institution that is the 40-year-old ‘Ally Pally’ fair at Alexandra Palace in north London, which runs this Sunday, July 2.
The latest healthy figures from him at the time of writing on June 21 showed 259 dealers and more than 450 tables.
It includes 174 dealers in antiques and collectables taking 252 tables, with Pop-Up Vintage Fairs selling fashion and homewares from 80 stands. Vinyl is a new addition to Ally Pally and VIP Records is tuning in with 90 tables run by 25 dealers selling “the super rare to collectable memorabilia”.
In March (ATG No 2585) it was announced that Kelly’s newly formed company was stepping into the void following the announcement from IACF in 2022 that its eight-year tenure of running this fair had come to an end.
Kelly, who organises the weekly Bermondsey Antiques Market, was a member of the Nelson Events’ team that ran the Alexandra Palace fair from 2008-14 prior to the IACF takeover.
