Amersham Auction Rooms

Amersham Auction Rooms in Buckinghamshire was established in 1877 as Pretty & Ellis – an estate agents and local auctioneers. They are now run by Dick Ellis, a direct descendant of Harvey Ellis, one of the founders of the original company.

Sales take place on a regular basis and include furniture, fine art, collectables , silver and furnishings.

MEMORIES of the Raj were the selling point at the collectors’ sale held at Amersham Auction Rooms (15% buyer’s premium) on July 5 which included pieces acquired by Lord William Hailey during his Governorship of the Punjab during the 1920s.
