Family and friends regretfully announce the death of Robert Jackson Whitfield aged 82 (born 10 October 1941, died 2 September 2024)

The antique furniture world has lost one of its great characters and senior statesmen in David Pettifer who died on 30th August aged 94.

Derek Roberts, who has died aged 93, was an antiquarian horologist, author and dealer, who brought the modern world into a previously somewhat rarified business.

Sir John Boardman OBE FBA Hon RA, Emeritus Lincoln Professor of Classical Art and Archaeology at the University of Oxford and an Honorary Fellow of the Magdalene College Cambridge for 40 years, was not just the pre-eminent scholar of Archaeology and Ancient Greece, he also proved to be a remarkable friend to the antiquities trade and collecting.
