Elstob Auctioneers

Based in Ripon, North Yorkshire, Elstob & Elstob was founded in 2019 by former Thomas Watson Auctioneers director David Elstob and his wife Beth Elstob. Initially holding sales at Bedale Hall, the firm relocated in early 2020 to Ripon Business Park.

In 2023 it was announced that the firm would become known as Elstob Auctioneers following David Elstob becoming the sole director of the company. 

David Elstob worked at Thomas Watson for six years and prior to that spent 12 years with Addisons in Barnard Castle.

The New Hall China Manufactory holds an important place in the history of English porcelain. Active from 1781-1835, it was effectively a cooperative between several Staffordshire earthenware makers, who acquired the Bristol porcelain patent and financed a factory together, first at Tunstall and then at Shelton New Hall in Hanley.
