As the autumn season kicks off, there is a wealth of art and antiques events to choose from around the UK. This week, ATG takes a look at three upcoming fairs beyond the London market: 'The Northern Antiques Fair' in Harrogate, the 'Bruton Decorative Antiques Fair' and the 'Chester Antiques Show'.

If Julia Brisbane, organiser of Antiques in Tents, ever wanted a publicist for her biannual traditional and decorative antiques fairs at Burton Court, near Leominster, she need look no further than one of her exhibitors, decorative dealer Kieran Mathewson.

For some of the more than 90 exhibitors standing at the second TEFAF New York Fall (October 28-November 1), it is just one in a flurry of international fairs that now mark the autumn calendar.

It is modest both in size and venue but the annual Nottingham Tile Fair organised by the Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society has an important place in the diary for collectors in this specialised field.

Vigo Gallery will feature an exhibition of the works by Dutch-born Belgian artist Bram Bogart (1921-2012) at Frieze Masters (October 5-8) and at its gallery at Dering Street, London (October 11-November 11).
