Poster auction in New York includes fine examples of British Art Deco rail travel designs

Pictured here are two inter-war French posters advertising motoring products that will feature in poster auctions taking place in the US this month.

This striking example of Art Deco poster design promotes the Blue Train: the luxury overnight express between Calais and the French Riviera named after the dark blue Compagnie International des Wagons-Lits carriages used when the service resumed after the First World War.
