Artcurial

Artcurial is an auction house in France that operate from the Hôtel Dassault in Paris, a Belle Epoque mansion on the Champs-Elysées.

It was founded in the 1970s as an art gallery in the Sabatier Espeyran Hôtel.

They now operate in eight countries including Italy, Germany, Belgium, Austria and Monaco.


Le Fur quits ArtCurial

Founding partner Rémy Le Fur has left ArtCurial, where he was in charge of sales of furniture and objets d’art, and notably secured the prestigious Rossignol Collection, the most important furniture sale in Paris during the 2005-06 season.

A French court has upheld the right of Paris auction firm Artcurial to use the name F. Tajan in their full title Artcurial Briest-Le Fur-Poulain-F. Tajan.
