Mall dealers ‘have nowhere to go’ if forced to leave

Islington Council say they have no powers to keep out clone stores

THERE’S post-festive joy in Camden Passage, as Mike Weedon, spokesman for the Camden Passage Association, reports that many of the dealers who’ve been trading there for 30 years had their best Christmas on record.

THE Christmas lights are now on in Camden Passage, but for some dealers this will be their last festive period in the London antiques thoroughfare.

DURING the 19th century, flowers played a far greater role in everyday social life than they do today, with each flower being ascribed a particular meaning and messages being passed (particularly from men to women) via blooms.

AFTER three years at the Gateway Arcade in Upper Street, Islington, Modernist dealers David Tatham and Chris Reen have moved into a shop at 25 Camden Passage, N1 where they trade as Origin Modernism.
