For some of the more than 90 exhibitors standing at the second TEFAF New York Fall (October 28-November 1), it is just one in a flurry of international fairs that now mark the autumn calendar.

Away from Frieze Masters, the next event held by The Antiques Dealers Fair Limited offers a more affordable selection of art and antiques outside of central London.

The New York Jewellery & Watch Show returns to the city for its third staging from October 27-30.

At the start of October, London is in for a feeding frenzy as art collectors, curators and member of the trade descend on the city. This year, four major fairs open in the capital in the first week of October offering a huge selection of antiques, fine art, decorative and vintage.

Among the London art dealers who are off to Florence for the 30th edition of the city’s Biennale this month is Colnaghi. ATG canvassed the opinion of the firm’s CEO, Jorge Coll.

The first major fairs of the new season are only just around the corner. The LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair at Berkeley Square is always strong on antique jewellery, this year (September 15-20) attracting more than a dozen specialist dealers from both London and overseas.

If you want to see some impressive room sets, then the biannual Foire de Chatou, 15km from Paris and held on the banks of the River Seine, is the place.
