Antiques fairs and markets offer a great way to browse and buy.
With so many exhibitors or stallholders in one place you can view a lot of different items quickly and compare prices and quality.
Depending on the event, the first day or morning may be for reserved for trade buyers before the general public gain access.
Some antiques markets are held weekly whereas some fairs may be quarterly, biannual, once a year or have some other frequency. Check the Calendar section of this website for details or view the listings every week in the Antiques Trade Gazette newspaper.

16 March 2017With many dealers based in and around Chelsea’s King’s Road, this area of west London is a common haunt for members of the art and antiques trade. But mid-March is arguably the busiest time of the year for business here when both The British Antiques Dealers Association (BADA) and Penman Fairs stage their annual events. This year BADA 2017 and The Chelsea Antiques Fair run simultaneously, each closing on March 19. Yesterday, ATG took a walk down the King’s Road to look around the stands and view the objects on offer at both fairs.

23 February 2017The launch of two annual New York fairs may have given TEFAF roots in another continent but the Maastricht fair remains the ‘mothership’ of the organisation.
