There has been a weekly Friday antiques and collectors’ market in Cirencester’s 19th century Corn Hall in Market Square for more than 40 years.

Jackie Edwards of ACVR Events, which organises antiques and vintage markets at eight venues in southern England, is running her Christmas Antiques and Brocante Market with 50 stalls up and down the High Street in Guildford on Sunday, December 12.

“Our December event is always a busy one and we’ll be inside the Showering Pavilion and outside at the showground as usual”, said Sue Ede of SP Fairs.

Buyers looking for something a bit different this Christmas could head to the Ephemera Society’s winter fair which is back at the Holiday Inn in Bloomsbury, London, on Sunday, December 5.

“I spotted this venue a while ago and recently decided I had to give it a go,” says Alan Old of So Last Century Fair talking about AMP Studios in south London where he is running a Christmas market on Sunday, December 5.

Dealer Marcus Potts, a regular exhibitor at the larger fairs including IACF Shepton Mallet, has filled all 40 capacity spaces at his Antiques@The Holt fair at the Holt Hotel, Steeple Aston, near Oxford on Saturday and Sunday, November 27-28.

The organisers of Hackney Fleamarkets, which includes the Peckham Salvage Yard at Copeland Park, run two of their regular flea dates before Christmas.
